PiJuice Maker Kit Case – 3D Print a High Quality Camera adaptor

PiJuice Maker Kit Case – 3D Print a High Quality Camera adaptor

If you have one of our cool Maker Kit Cases and you want to attach the new “High Quality Camera” then you are in the right place. We have designed a 3D model of an adaptor for you to 3D print or if you know someone with a printer.

The 3D printed camera adaptor simple slots in the already existing slot in the case and allows you to screw in the High Quality camera with the supplied screws. It also has a cut out for the camera cable to neatly tuck inside the case.

Assembly

Step 1 – Once printed use a small fine pointed object such as a flat head screw driver or sharp knife and start to remove the printed support.

Step 2 – If you haven’t done so already you will need to connect the Pi camera ribbon cable to the camera module.

Step 3 – Feed the camera cable into the available slot and then begin to screw the camera module into the adaptor.

Note: Be careful not to over-tighten as this may cause the screw mounts to snap off.

Step 4 – Finally slot the adaptor with the camera module attached into the case. Make sure that it sits flush with the case and then slide it outwards to clip into place. We have provided a hole underneath to allow you to grip it form within the case.

Note: If you are finding it is a little tight then you may need to remove some plastic by either sanding it down or by using a sharp knife.
