Set Up Your JustBoom Digi For 5.1 Surround Sound
This guide will show you how to connect your JustBoom Digi to a 5.1 surround system using OSMC, OpenELEC or LibreELEC.
Remember that setting your DTS / Dolby / surround sound system to work with the JustBoom Digi may vary and will not be covered in this tutorial.
Before you start.
If you haven’t done so please follow one of the guides below to setup the OS first:
Enable pass-through and select the right card.
With your OS configured move to System -> System settings -> Audio
Verify that the card is snd_rpi_justboom_digi,S/PDIF
then enable “Allow passthrough”
and finally select snd_rpi_justboom_digi,S/PDIF in “Passthrough output device”
In general the surround system to which you are connecting your JustBoom to will be able at this point to detect that the incoming signal is a valid DTS / Dolby / surround sound signal.
